Renfrewshire Council’s consultation on its Pavement Parking traffic order was launched on 14 August 2024 and is open for 28 days from that date, i.e. until 11 September 2024. Further details can be found on the council’s website.
The full traffic order details can found on the TellmeScotland website.
The traffic order specifies lengths of pavement where parking on the pavement will be allowed, despite the national ban. Each location has been chosen after comprehensive assessment of the whole of Renfrewshire’s road network against published Transport Scotland guidance. The consultation is about the proposed locations only. There is no opportunity to add any more locations.
Subject to the successful making of the traffic order, the council’s intention is to implement enforcement of the pavement parking ban in November 2024.
